Constella Group Named One of 50 Fastest Growing Private Companies in the Triangle

DURHAM, N.C., Nov. 3, 2006—Constella Group, a leading global provider of professional health services, announced today that it has been recognized as one of the 50 fastest-growing private companies in the Triangle through Triangle Business Journal’s Fast 50 award program. Ranked number 23, this marks the 10th year that Constella has made the Fast 50 list.

Holzworth. “It is particularly special to celebrate our 10-year milestone on the Fast 50, as it reflects our sustained growth and demonstrates the importance of our work toward enhancing human health.”

Lineberry Research Associates (LRA), which Constella recently signed a definitive agreement to acquire, was named the 16th fastest-growing company. This is the sixth time that LRA, an RTP-based contract research organization, has been recognized by the Fast 50 program.

PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP develops the Fast 50 rankings by evaluating locally headquartered private companies based on a formula that takes into account both dollar growth and percentage rate of growth over a three-year period. To be considered for this year’s list, companies were required to have had at least $3 million in revenue in 2005.

Constella and LRA learned of their respective rankings at the annual Fast 50 Awards ceremony on Nov. 2, 2006. Both companies are profiled, along with the 48 other winners, in an in-depth special Fast 50 Awards section in Triangle Business Journal’s Nov. 3 edition.
