Press ReleasesConstella Group Expands HIV/AIDS and Family Planning and Reproductive Health Services with $325 Million Global ContractDurham, N.C., Oct. 4, 2005Constella Group, a leading global provider of professional health services, has won a contract with a total potential value of $325 million, including an initial $100 million task order with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). Through this contract, the company will continue to provide health policy development and implementation services to benefit people in developing countries worldwide.The new Policy Dialogue and Implementation (PDI) contract and corresponding task order extend the 30-year history that the company's Futures Group business unit has built with USAID. The PDI will continue a global effort that works with civil society and government partners in developing countries to create enabling policy environments for high quality, sustainable HIV/AIDS, family planning and reproductive health, and safe motherhood programs and services. As a new and expanded mandate of this contract, Constella will support policy implementation as well as the creation of new policies. "Our win of the PDI contract demonstrates our continued global leadership in HIV/AIDS, family planning and reproductive health, and maternal health," said Donald A. Constella is partnering with the following organizations to accomplish this USAID mission-the Centre for Development and Population Activities; the World Conference of Religions for Peace, the largest international coalition of representatives from the world's great religions dedicated to achieving peace; and the White Ribbon Alliance, a global organization focused on safe motherhood.
