Chris LeGrand Promoted to President of Constella Health Sciences
DURHAM, N.C., March 10, 2004—Chris LeGrand has been named president of Constella Health Sciences. LeGrand has served at the helm of Health Sciences, Constella Group's largest business, for the past two years as the business' chief operating officer.
"Chris and I share a grand, future vision for Health Sciences that foresees continued growth for this business," said Donald A. Holzworth, Constella Group CEO. "As president of Health Sciences, Chris is positioned to make the business a preeminent organization in the public-sector health sciences market."
As president, LeGrand will continue to establish Health Sciences as a global provider and market leader in key areas of great public health importance and to enhance human health in areas such as global HIV/AIDS prevention, environmental health, children's health, occupational safety and health, and public health preparedness.
LeGrand continues to oversee the strategic operations and growth of the 500-plus employee business, which offers health-focused solutions in the following areas:
- Research
- Communications
- Technical Assistance
- Program Management
- Technology
- Policy, Planning and Evaluation
LeGrand will also collaborate across Constella's other private-sector based business unitsClinical Informatics and Health Strategies to grow the company.

LeGrand joined Constella in 1998 as a division director where he grew the information technology division staff of 36 to more than 120 employees within three years. In 2002, he was promoted to vice president of operations and chief technology officer where he led the company's five-year strategy planning efforts and established processes to maintain the company's rapid growth rate. As part of a company-wide reorganization in Jan. of 2003, he was promoted to chief operating officer of the Health Sciences business unit.
In 2003, Business Leader magazine (Raleigh, N.C.) named LeGrand to its Impact 100 list. In 2001, The Business Journal (Raleigh, N.C.) awarded LeGrand a "40 Under 40" award, which recognizes 40 exemplary professional leaders under the age of 40 who work and live in the Raleigh-DURHAM, N.C. area.
