Resource Solutions, Inc., (now Constella Clinical Informatics) Took No. 31 Spot
DURHAM, N.C., Nov. 6, 2003—Constella Group, Inc., a leading provider of professional health services worldwide, has been named the second-fastest growing private company in the Triangle, based on percentage revenue growth and dollar growth of revenue over the past three years.
Resource Solutions, Inc., (RSI), acquired by Constella on Oct. 1, earned the No. 31 spot at the 10th annual Triangle Fast 50 Awards ceremony, held Nov. 5 at North Ridge Country Club in Raleigh. Constella combined RSI with its informatics business to form Constella Clinical Informatics, a business unit that offers comprehensive clinical trials management and monitoring, traditional data management, and biostatistical services to pharmaceutical and biotech clients.
This year marks the seventh year that Constella has been recognized as an award winner, putting the company in the elite Fast 50 Hall of Fame List with six other seven-time winners. Constella, which now has 675 employees, ranked No. 4 in the 2002 Triangle Fast 50; 22 in 2001; 39 in 2000; 38 in 1999; 49 in 1998; and 18 in 1995. This was the second year that RSI earned a Fast 50 award; it ranked No. 45 in 2002.
"Number 2 is an incredible achievement!," said Donald A. Holzworth, Constella Group CEO who accepted the award. "Our ability to be named one of the Triangle's fastest growing private companies for seven years is a validation that the work we do is important to the nation and to the world.
"Each employee makes a contribution to the growth of our company, and I am proud to share this award with them," he added. "I know that by continuing to focus on our vision of enhancing human health that we will continue be recognized as a great company."
Accepting on behalf of RSI was Joan R. Reese, chief operating officer for Constella Clinical Informatics and former president and co-founder of RSI.
"Our ability to deliver high-quality services that exceed client expectations is the main reason our company has been so successful," she said. "As Clinical Informatics, our biggest challenge is to ensure that we continue to exceed clients' expectations while providing a challenging and fun work environment for our employees."
