July 3—Dr. Ron Manderscheid, Director of Constella's Mental Health and Substance Use Programs, proudly poses in front of a public behavioral healthcare facility on the cover of the June issue of Behavioral Healthcare magazine, which features an interview with Dr. Manderscheid on the topic of Medicaid reform.

In the interview - conducted by the magazine's Washington D.C editor - Dr. Manderscheid discusses the state of the Medicaid program, the role it plays as a primary funding source for mental health services, and the reform that is needed to ensure the program is adequately covering the needs of behavioral healthcare consumers in the U.S.

"I am extremely passionate about this topic and was pleased when Behavioral Healthcare approached me for this interview," said Dr. Manderscheid. "The type of transformational changes we need in government-funded healthcare programs like Medicaid will require a collective effort on the part of behavioral healthcare managers, providers, consumers, and their family members. A platform like Behavioral Healthcare presents a wonderful opportunity to bring these important issues to light and to propose a call to action to our colleagues throughout the industry."
