Featured Projects
UPHOLD
Despite Uganda's success in sustaining a high
rate of economic growth and reducing poverty over the past
decade, these positive economic trends are not reflected
in the most recent health and education statistics.
UPHOLD works to assist Ugandans to achieve improved
health and longer, more productive lives through integrated
interventions in three social sectors: education, health,
and HIV/AIDS. Constella Futures is strengthening public-private
partnerships at district and sub-country levels; implementing
performance improvement interventions to improve quality
standards in private facilities; and identifying, developing,
and scaling-up best practices among private providers to
increase the availability of health, education, and HIV
core interventions.
USAID awarded this project to John Snow, Inc. in partnerships
with Constella Futures, Education Development Center, Manoff
Group, Malaria Consortium, and World Education.
Program areas include HIV/AIDS, Family Planning/Reproductive
Health; Child Survival; Maternal and Neonatal Health; and
Malaria. Technical areas include Public-Private Partnerships,
Commercial Market Development, Health Provider Networks;
Management Capacity Building.
