Community REACH

Community responses to HIV are often hampered by lack of access to resources.

The Community REACH Program facilitates the flow of grant funds to nongovernmental organizations that support HIV activities related to prevention, voluntary counseling and testing, and care and support. Constella Futures is responsible for performance monitoring, evaluation, and reporting for the grants. Monitoring and evaluation activities include developing a way to measure results, monitoring and evaluating sections of the grant proposals to ensure that grantees have the capacity to collect data required by USAID, and helping grantees develop basic evaluation plans.

An important part of the REACH program is providing guidance to grantees on what works best in OVC support. In this regard, Constella Futures is also directing an evaluation study of programs targeting orphans and vulnerable children in Rwanda and Zambia. The program is also providing funds and technical assistance to four grantees in Uganda, Tanzania, South Africa, and India to conduct research relating to orphans and vulnerable children.

Community REACH is funded by USAID and is implemented by PACT, in partnership with Constella Futures.
