Featured ProjectsChina Social Marketing (HIV/AIDS Prevention and Care Project)National HIV prevalence is currently very low in China, but due to serious epidemics among vulnerable populations, the threat of a generalized pandemic is high. Until June 2006 when the project closed, the China Social Marketing program operated in the provinces of Yunnan and Sichuan, and aimed to establish replicable social marketing models, improve understanding of high risk behavior, and increase condom use among vulnerable groups. Constella Futures also worked with the sales teams of local condom factories to improve quality, accessibility, and distribution of condoms. The Constella Futures team successfully designed and implemented programs and interventions that encouraged behavior change and promoted condom use. These included a range of activities, such as mass media campaigns, face-to-face communication programs, workplace interventions, and training and capacity building workshops. The Social Marketing program was a component of the DFID-funded China-UK HIV/AIDS Prevention and Care Project.
