BELONG

HIV is fueling the crisis of rapidly increasing numbers of orphans and vulnerable children (OVC) around the world. Sub-Saharan Africa, southern and eastern Africa in particular, is at the heart of this catastrophe.

The goal of the Better Education and Life Opportunities for vulnerable children through Networking and organizational Growth (BELONG) project is to rapidly scale-up the provision of effective, comprehensive, and lasting local support to OVC in Zambia and Ethiopia.

Constella Futures will conduct the monitoring and evaluation activities related to this project including a special study to evaluate the effectiveness of school feeding programs in improving the well-being of OVC in Zambia. The project will scale-up services through two platforms: home-based care and school feeding programs. BELONG's approach will also involve capacity building of local NGOs.

BELONG is funded by the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief and is implemented by Project Concern International, Constella Futures, Pact, HAPCSO Ethiopia, Bwafwano Zambia, World Food Program.
