July 1: Johannes Van Dam MD, MPH, Joins Constella Futures as Director for the Center for Health Solutions. Dr. Van Dam has more than 24 years of experience in sexually transmitted disease (STI), HIV/AIDS and reproductive health and family planning research and programs around the world. His areas of focus include program design and strategic planning, program management and health systems delivery, operations research and evaluation.

Constella Futures, the international development unit of Constella Group, specializes in the design and implementation of public health and social programs for developing countries. Since 1971, we have worked on projects in more than 100 countries in Africa, Asia and the Middle East, Central and Eastern Europe, and Latin America and the Caribbean.

Our staff works collaboratively with in-country counterparts to improve policies and programs that address population issues, reproductive health, HIV, infectious diseases, and maternal and child health. Constella Futures’ experts in disciplines such as public policy, economics and health finance, medicine, law and human rights, public health, demography, epidemiology, gender, social marketing and communications, and monitoring and evaluation employ a focused yet flexible approach to helping countries and communities build local capacity and forge public-private partnerships.
