HIV/AIDS — Featured NewsJuly 17—Jesse Milan, Vice President of Constella's Center for Global Health Convergence, was published in the July issue of the American Journal of Public Health (AJPH) . Jesse co-authored an article with Dr. David Holtgrave at Johns Hopkins University, and Dr. Jean McGuire at Northeastern University titled, "The Magnitude of Key HIV Prevention Challenges in the United States: Implications for a New National HIV Prevention Plan." The article highlights the large numbers of Americans actually at risk for HIV infection and describes challenges for curbing the tide of new HIV infections in this country. It proposes new goals and a structure for reducing HIV infection rates in the U.S. by half within three years; and provides a useful framework for the CDC and state HIV agencies responsible for creating and updating HIV prevention plans.
