— March 9: SAMHSA releases their bi-annual compendium of the latest information available on mental health services, edited by Dr. Ron Manderscheid, now with Constella.

— March 6: Constella employee Phyllis Williams-Thompson recently taught University of Massachusetts students the fundamentals of social marketing.

— Feb 13: Constella launches MedDRA application for vaccine safety surveillance system.

— Jan. 23: Constella has awarded grants to initiatives addressing the hidden health issues of prostate cancer among African-American men and of child sexual abuse (CSA) in national and global communities. Constella is supporting each cause with $10,000 Enhancing Human Health grants that were awarded at the end of 2006 by our Corporate Philanthropy Program.

— Jan. 23: Constella is saddened to report that we recently lost a long-time colleague and friend. James "Jim" Kriebel, a scientific/technical manager in Constella’s Center for Health Information Technology, passed away on Friday, Jan. 19 due to complications from pneumonia and sepsis - a severe blood infection.

— Jan. 17: Whether assisting in the fight against disease, promoting safety in the workplace, or discovering effective teaching methods for children, the programs Constella supports with our Peer Review solution have a direct impact on future health and future generations.

— Jan. 2: Move over Dateline NBC. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recently received two FREDDIE Awards in honor of a 30-minute documentary Constella produced for the Choose Respect initiative. See the video that won the FREDDIE Award.

— Dec. 19: On Oct. 22-25, the Marketing and Creative Services team from Constella’s Center for Health Program Advancement exhibited at the National Public Health Information Coalition (NPHIC) conference in Portland, Oregon, to promote Constella’s health communication services.

— Dec. 19: Former U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Assistant Secretary Stewart Simonson joined Constella on Sept. 18 to serve as our Vice President of Global Public Health Preparedness. On Dec. 13, more than 90 of Stewart’s former government colleagues, new Constella colleagues, family, and friends gathered for a reception in his honor hosted by Constella Advisory Board Chairman and former HHS Secretary, Tommy Thompson.
