Key Projects

We are proud to have been selected to run some of the United States’ seminal public health programs as detailed below.

BioSense

Client: Centers for Disease Control and Prevention
CDC's early health-event detection and situational awareness surveillance system for monitoring any potential disease outbreaks in the US.

Constella builds and manages the relationships with state/local public health and the health data sources (hospitals) on behalf of CDC.

Statistical and Computer Support

Client: NIEHS and other agencies
The National Toxicology Program conducts research to determine the toxicity and carcinogenicity of chemicals in the environment.

Constella provides statistical data analysis to help NTP interpret the results of its studies, and we develop the software and manage the hardware that collects the data

Select Agent Program

Client: Centers for Disease Control and Prevention
Public law requires CDC to continuously track the possession, use, and transfer of select agents and toxins in the US.

Constella registers and inspects all facilities to certify that proper biosafety measures are in place, and authorizes and tracks all shipments of select agents between registered facilities.

Clinical Research Support Services

Client: NIEHS and other agencies
NIEHS has launched a clinical research initiative to study impacts of environmental agents on human health, including both observational clinical research studies and interventional clinical trials.

Constella's responsibilities span study planning, implementation, and analysis.

Consumer Response Services Program

Client: Centers for Disease Control and Prevention
CDC's "single face to the public" - the consolidation of all its hotlines and helplines into a single toll-free service.

Constella develops content for Tier 1 and 2 responders, and staffs the Tier 3 response lines.

Constella provides all IT and data management services to support this centralized repository.

CDMRP Peer Review

Client: USAMRAA
Congressionally directed program, run by DOD, to award biomedical research grants for cancer and other disease.

Constella manages an outsourced service to receive, review, and award biomedical research grants, including the IT systems to collect, distribute, and rank funding requests, and topic-matter experts to facilitate the panel reviews which determine the scientific merit of each proposal.
