Business Operations
Timothy Schur joined Constella in 2002 serving in various senior-level roles
within the company’s health sciences unit before being named group Vice
President of business operations in November 2006. In this role, he serves
on Constella’s executive leadership team and is responsible for coordinating
the business operations functions across Constella’s three units to ensure
operational consistency, promote accurate business planning, minimize operational
risk and organize information assets across the business.
Prior to assuming this role, Schur led the Business Operations department for Constella’s Health Sciences unit where he oversaw contract administration, pricing, business management, proposal development, and market intelligence/positioning.
He originally joined Constella as Sr. Manager and later Vice President of Health Sciences’ Center for Health Information Technology. In this role, he led a team of developers and technologists who, under his guidance, brought a number of innovative technology solutions to market including public health knowledge portals and health information interchange architectures, as well as systems for grants management, peer review coordination, and large document management.
Schur has more than 18 years of experience delivering consulting and technology solutions to public- and private-sector clients. Throughout his career, he has focused on the unique needs and problems of organizations with a public health and environmental science focus.
Before joining Constella, Schur served in various business and technical managerial roles for Technology Planning and Management Corp., an information technology solutions company focused on the public sector (later acquired by Perot Government Services through Soza & Company, Ltd.). While there, he served as Vice President of Operations and led many of the firm's business development efforts. He also led an effort to define the information technology architecture and standards of the Environmental Protection Agency.
Schur holds a bachelor of science degree in economics with a minor in management information systems from North Carolina State University where he was a University Fellow and Caldwell Scholar. |
