Wayne Myers

Center for Health Information Technology
Wayne Myers is Vice President of the Center for Health Information Technology.
In this role, he is responsible for the strategic direction, growth and service
delivery of the Center, which provides information technology (IT) solutions
to support government, academic and commercial health programs.
Myers has 17 years of experience in delivering IT and business solutions
for the healthcare and public health industries. Throughout his career, he
has led numerous large-scale health IT projects, including initiatives to design,
develop and deploy electronic health records systems (EHR), a multi-terabyte
health research data warehouse, and a multi-state public health biosurveillance
system. He has also managed the startup of five business units from concept
to product delivery.
As vice president of Constella's Center for Health Information Technology,
Myers leads more than 220 professionals in providing services and solutions
to support scientific and research programs, healthcare data management initiatives
and communication-based health programs for such clients as the Centers for
Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the National Institutes of Health (NIH),
the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) and
many other public and private organizations.
Since joining Constella in January 2003, Myers has held roles of increasing
responsibility, including project director, director of IT business development,
and, most recently, director of the Health Data Services Division. While in
this role, he grew the Division's revenue by 80 percent in one year bringing
$13 million in new business to the company.
Prior to Constella, Myers spent 12 years with Cerner Corporation where he
held various leadership roles including project director, data warehouse director,
internet health consumer director and others. Cerner recognized Myers five
consecutive times through its annual "Fast Track Executive" award program.
Myers is a certified project management professional (PMP) and has personally
performed and managed all phases of the healthcare information system development
lifecycle (SDLC). He is also the author of a pending patent on the automated
reporting of laboratory results to a patient via a personal health record.
Myers holds a MBA from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and a BS in
Computer Science from Iowa State University. |
